We look for Pedro Martinez and the Over to make a winning combination tonight as the Boston Red Sox continue their series at Tampa Bay.

The Red Sox are second in the AL East at 47-34 (.580) while the Devil Rays are in fifth place at 27-54 (.333).

Martinez is 1-0 in four games since returning from the disabled list and 5-2 overall this season. In his last outing he allowed four runs and seven hits over 6 2/3 innings against the Tigers. He has a fantastic career record against the Devil Rays, going 8-2 with an ERA of just 1.96. The Over is 7-2 in Martinez' last nine starts and 5-2 his last seven against Tampa Bay.

Rob Bell gets the start for the D Rays and the 26 year-old right-hander is still seeking his first win of the season. He is 0-2 with a 9.69 ERA in three starts and lasted just 3 2/3 innings against the Yankees Wednesday. Bell allowed seven earned runs and five hits in the loss and his only other home start this season was just as bad...he allowed six earned runs in just 3 1/3 innings against the lowly Pittsburgh Pirates. In three career appearances against Boston he is 0-0 with a 5.84 ERA. Six of Bell's last eight starts have gone Over.

It's easy to see why the offensively loaded Red Sox are so heavily favored in this match-up but it is the total that we believe offers value.

The Over is 7-3 in the last ten meetings between these teams with the average score being a whopping 12.6 runs.

We're expecting Boston to score 6-8 runs tonight and with 2-4 runs from the Devil Rays will take this one to go Over.

Recommended Play: Over 8 -127

Good luck

Mike
